Financial Literacy at Westminster Kingsway College 2004-05 Westminster Kingsway College is working with Face-2-Face with Finance to develop a financial literacy package for students, staff and parents. Activities and materials are being piloted this academic year with a view to expanding these activities to other colleges in 2005. Click here for an activity outline. Medical Physics - March 2005 Staff from the Medical Engineering Department at Queen Mary University of London are collaborating with City and Islington Sixth Form College, supporting them with the delivery of part of the Salters A-Level Physics syllabus. Access to Humanities Conference - April 2005 This is a two day conference for Access students and is run collaboratively by staff at both the colleges involved and SOAS. The conference runs on both sites with a day and SOAS and a day at the colleges. The choice of course content is driven by the needs of the Access courses but tends to be current affairs rather than content lead. Click here to find out more. Staff development days for Science Teachers and Careers staff Spring and Summer 2005 The Royal Veterinary College is running a series of staff development days for science and careers teachers. The aim is to enable staff to broaden and update their knowledge of the range of vocational pathways in health and science. Click here to find out more.

Vocational Winter Schools  •  Business/Leisure & Tourism March 2005  •  Information Technology March 2005  •  Health related professions January 2005  •  Business at City tbc  •  Debate and Essay Writing Mini Fellowship Verbal and written fluency workshops for vocational students tbc These are two day winter schools to be held at London Metropolitan University (Holloway Road Campus) in March 2005, aimed at vocational students in year-1 of a level-3 course.
