Staff development days for Science Teachers and Careers staff

Royal Veterinary College

What is it?
The Royal Veterinary College is running a series of staff development days, based at partner institutions, for science and careers teachers.

The aim is to enable staff to broaden and update their knowledge of the range of vocational pathways in health and science.

These days will include talks and visits on a range of jobs in the Health Professions; followed by a series of short presentations by staff involved in admissions in different subjects on what they are looking for in terms of personal and generic skills, academic levels and specific curriculum requirements.

Time scale
A number of staff development days, each with a different focus, are running in spring 2005.

Science / health teachers and careers staff.

Cost
The staff development days are free and the HE / FE Interface project will pay for cover for FE teaching staff from central London attending these events.
